BOSTON — Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is dealing with an ankle issue as the team gets ready for their Sunday night game with the Lions in Detroit.

The 29-year-old Gronkowski showed up on the teams injury report for Thursday after not being listed on Wednesday’s injury report at all.  According to the report, Gronkowski was limited at Thursday’s practice because of some type of issue with his ankle.

The report doesn’t specify which ankle Gronk has an issue with.

Gronkowski has had multiple back surgeries and other injuries over his 9 year NFL career that have forced him to miss games and do extensive rehab but he has been completely healthy for the teams first two games of the season.

Gronkowski has 9 receptions for 138 yards and 1 touchdown so far this year.
