Dartmouth Police arrest 3 men for multiple car break-ins

A St. Louis police officer is accused of driving a van too roughly to punish two prisoners, court documents claim.

Dartmouth Police arrested three men on Saturday night for breaking into several vehicles.

At around 11:30 p.m., Dartmouth Police responded to Stephen Street after recieving calls about car break-ins. After they arrived, one officer located the three male suspects walking near the McDonald's on Dartmouth Street.

After a brief encounter with the police, all three men ran away.

The men were eventually found after an extended search of the area done by multiple officers.

After the investigation, which found that numerous items were stolen from inside the broken-in vehicles, Dartmouth Police arrested the three men.

Xavier Kennedy, 18, Jordan Bunting, 20, and Orion Taylor, 19, were charged with five counts of felony of breaking into a motor vehicle at night and four counts of larceny. All three men are from New Bedford.

"This incident should serve as a persuasive reminder to everyone to keep your doors locked, alarms armed, and to never leave valuables inside of an unattended motor vehicle," Dartmouth Chief of Police, Brian Levesque said following the arrests.
