BRAINTREE, Mass. — An MBTA Commuter Rail train temporarily stopped on its tracks after reportedly striking a vehicle in Braintree.
Update: Middleborough Train 003 (6:35 am outbound) has resumed its trip and is operating 45-55 minutes behind schedule due to an earlier reported vehicle strike near Braintree.

According to the MBTA, Middleborough Train 003 (6:35 a.m. outbound) was stopped near Braintree Station after a reported vehicle strike.

A Keolis spokesperson told Boston 25 News the incident happened when a car stopped withing a downed gate as a train approached.
Responders are currently on scene and working to minimize the impact to service.

The train involved in the reported strike is now operating 45-55 minutes behind schedule.
No injuries have been reported at this point.
