'Untimely death' under investigation in New Hampshire

GREENLAND, N.H. — The death of a man found dead early Monday morning in Greenland, New Hampshire is being investigated, according to police.

New Hampshire State Police have set up a command post and are working with the attorney general’s office on what they say isn’t being treated as a homicide.

Investigators say they were called to a multi-family home on Pleasant Avenue around 2 a.m. Monday.

Attorney General Jeff Strelzin says they are investigating it as an untimely death, which means it is not a homicide, but there are some questions they need to determine if any crime occurred.

Nearby businesses told Boston 25 News they don't know much about the tenants of the building.

"They seem like hardworking people,” Rhoda Forsythe said. “Out early in the mornings and they are back in the afternoons. Seemed like hardworking people. Always nice. Always Cordial, never had any issues with them."

A restaurant nearby has a camera inside and the owner told Boston 25 News she gave the video to police. She said it didn't show anything promising, but police told her it could help them determine the timing of what happened.
